Why an Orthodontist in Orland Park? Orthodontist vs. Dentist
An orthodontist is a dentist, but a dentist is not an Orthodontist. All orthodontists are dentists first, even though not every dentist is qualified to be an orthodontist. As your Orland Park orthodontist, Dr. Ryan Booth has spent years studying nothing but how and why to move teeth. This includes what to do, how to plan, and how to execute the appropriate treatment plan. All orthodontists, including Dr. Ryan Booth, have to continue their formal education for 2 or 3 additional years before receiving their license and certification.
Why does it matter if you see your Orland Park Orthodontist?
Specialists receive additional training to give them the skills needed to deal with more complex orthodontic problems. Dentists do, however, receive basic orthodontic training which allows them to perform root canals, extract wisdom teeth, and treat young children who do not need to see an orthodontist yet.
Orland Park orthodontists may improve your treatment experience in the following ways:
- Providing more treatment options, with a variety of braces or therapies to choose from.
- Personal experience treating multiple cases that share your unique concern and anatomical characteristics.
- More efficient treatment and visits, because it is the office’s focus area of care.
- Knowing that you’ll receive the best possible outcome on your treatment plan, especially if you have severe bite discrepancies that need to be addressed.
- Being seen quickly, as a family dentist will be focused on longer patient cases or emergencies throughout the day.
Some individuals may think it’s easier to have their orthodontic work completed by their dentist, but convenience shouldn’t be a problem. You will only be stopping by your Orland Park orthodontists' offices every six to eight weeks.
Booth Orthodontics is proud to provide affordable treatment in the Orland Park area, and we don’t want price to ever be an obstacle. That’s why we accept most major insurance providers and offer payment plans.
Testimonials from Booth Orthodontics patients
The entire staff was kind, welcoming, and competent. Dr. Booth took the time to sit down and explain my treatment plan with me, and he asked several times if I had any questions or concerns. I did not have to wait long to be seen (nothing better than an office that actually sticks to their appointment schedule!). I would definitely recommend Booth Orthodontics to friends and family!! - Mary
Dr Booth’s clinic is honestly the most impressive, high-quality medical facility I’ve ever been to. He and his staff are exceptionally kind, professional and attentive. From the first moment, I visited them I was in awe at the level of care I received. Drs. Booth does things extremely well and I could not be more grateful for the excellent job he did restructuring my jaw, fixing my bite and straightening my teeth. Thank you to all involved!! - Mary
I have just completed Invisalign treatment to straighten and align my teeth (I am 63 years old/young.) I am extremely pleased with the result. The process took about one year and was very manageable. Dr. Ryan Booth is fully knowledgeable and current on the cutting edge advancements in orthodontia. I have felt very confident in his work.
The office atmosphere is upbeat and pleasant. The staff members are all very professional, skilled, and friendly. A visit to Booth Orthodontics is a completely pleasant experience. I highly recommend Booth Orthodontics. (P.S. Our three children were also patients of Dr. Booth years ago. When I decide to get braces, of course, I returned to Booth Orthodontics!) - Linda
