We appreciate your continued understanding and flexibility as we operate under increased protocols and procedures to protect you and our team from the COVID-19 virus. Safety remains our number one priority.

We continue to screen everyone who comes into our office for signs and symptoms, wear added layers of PPE for everyone’s protection and limit the number of people in our office at any one time, among other safety precautions. We’ve also updated some of our procedures:

Simplified Check-In

You no longer need to call or text us from the parking lot when you arrive for your appointment. We’ve streamlined check-in to maintain social distancing without requiring this step.

We appreciate you continuing to complete your online health screening form in advance of each appointment, and we’ll continue to send you a link beforehand. But, if you’re unable to get to it prior to your arrival, that’s okay. A member of our team will ask you the screening questions when you arrive.

Contact us prior to your appointment if you or anyone in your household has COVID-19, has signs or symptoms of the virus, or has been in close contact with or exposed to someone who has COVID-19. Please let us know if your child has been advised to stay home from school or an activity because of virus concerns.

You’re required to wear a face covering. We’ll continue to take your temperature when you get here. To promote social distancing, adult and teen patients, continue to attend your appointments alone. One parent may accompany young children inside.

During your child’s appointment, please keep your phone handy so that we can contact you virtually via FaceTime or Doxy.me to share updates on your child’s treatment and progress.

Aerosol Reduction

Using new equipment that we installed in our office this spring, the air inside our treatment area is sterilized and recycled every 15 minutes. Medical grade air purifiers placed throughout the office clean, purify and re-energize the indoor air. In addition to capturing virus particles, these filtration systems capture dust, pollen, VOCs, gases, mold, allergens and odors.

We’ve upgraded our HVAC system to include HEPA and UV filters that sterilize circulating air.

During treatment procedures that may produce aerosols, patients now hold even more powerful vacuum suction funnels over their mouths to limit the amount of aerosols released into the air.

We’ve implemented a new, additional sterilization procedure, daily HOCL disinfectant fogging, which uses a nontoxic mist to inactivate virus particles and sanitize surfaces. The process is effective at disinfecting large spaces.

Anticipating Schedule Changes

Many of our team members have school-age children and are experiencing the COVID-related pressures that our patient families face. If we have a staff member who is unable to work because of a COVID-19-related event, it could result in the need to reschedule your appointment with little notice.

If this need arises, we’ll reach out promptly and do our best to reduce inconveniences to you and your family. Our team remains committed to making appointment times available that fit your busy schedules.

Thank you for your continued commitment to safety. We appreciate the patience you’ve shown during this difficult time. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. You are the best community of patients and families!
