Temporary Anchor Devices

Temporary anchor devices, or TADs for short, are mini anchors placed in the bone around the teeth. These TADs allow unique directions of force to move teeth in remarkable ways that have not been possible in the past with conventional orthodontics. The use of TADs increases the efficiency, effectiveness and safety in certain tooth movements. TADs can even successfully treat cases that were once treated with only corrective jaw surgery.

Placement of TADs is done in the orthodontic office by Dr. Booth using a topical anesthetic in a non painful method. TADs are usually placed for 6-12 months and then removed. TADs have been a wonderful adjunct to providing enhanced results that were once not possible with conventional orthodontics.
